The War Weaver

Kael, a conscripted soldier caught in the brutal Rime Wars, harbors a forbidden gift: 'conflict weaving'. He can subtly bend the flow of battle, guiding arrows, bolstering morale, or weakening enemy blades with an unseen touch. It's not overt magic, but a whisper of influence shaping chaos. As the venerable Empire crumbles under relentless barbarian hordes, its final strongholds besieged, Kael's burgeoning power becomes their last desperate hope. Yet, each use drains his life force, risks exposure to suspicious allies, and attracts ancient forces who seek to control or destroy him. He must master his gift, decipher its true origins, and save his people without becoming a casualty of his own immense power.
