The Sunstone Gardener

Lempi Isotalo, a botanical genius whose greatest talent is avoiding work, wants nothing more than a quiet life tending her plants. But when her family's fortunes crumble, she's forced into an arranged marriage with Lord Valo Koskinen, the reclusive master of the mist-shrouded Virela estate. The deal is simple: her presence will secure her younger brother's future. Lempi plans to nap her way through the marriage, but she soon discovers her husband's secret: a creeping petrification curse is slowly turning him to stone. The only cure is the mythical Sunpetal, a flower so rare it's considered extinct. As Valo's condition worsens, the curse manifests as aggressive, stone-like growths, making him more monstrous and withdrawn. Lempi realizes that saving him might be the most challenging project she's ever faced. But with her trusted mentor guiding her from afar and the curse actively fighting her efforts, can this brilliant slacker cultivate a miracle before her husband becomes a permanent statue?
