The world of Aerthos was a symphony of predictable seasons and diligent craft. Kael, an apprentice smith, found solace in the ringing anvil and the precise heat of the forge, his days marked by the rhythmic hammering of iron and a quiet admiration for Elara, the herbalist's daughter. But the old harmonies were dying. A new sound, deep and resonant, began to thrum beneath the earth, a vibration known only as the Primal Hum. This wasn't merely a change in the weather or the whim of distant gods. The very fabric of existence, the invisible Aether that permeated all things, was undergoing a cataclysmic surge. The familiar world began to fracture, giving birth to impossible landscapes known as Rift-Zones, where reality twisted and ancient laws of nature ceased to apply. Creatures warped by the burgeoning Aether, now called Chimeric Beasts, stalked the shadowed pathways beyond the walled cities. As the old world collapsed, Kael, like many others, found a nascent power stirring within him—a deep Resonance with the elemental forces he once only shaped. Survival now meant more than skill; it meant evolution. Those who could master their newfound Aether-Arts might forge a new future from the ruins, but those who clung to the dying echoes of the past would be consumed by the unforgiving clamor of the Primal Hum.
