The Patron Saint of Bad Decisions

Anoushka 'Nusha' Zakarova has one rule: never bring back the dead. As a clandestine 'Stitcher' in the grimy underbelly of Khavar, her talent for mending fatal wounds is a dangerous secret. When her beloved mentor dies in her arms, Nusha breaks her own rule in a moment of grief, a choice that paints a target on her back for her power-hungry family, the illustrious House Zakarov. Suddenly, she's forced into an unwilling alliance with Levan Gvaramia, the charismatic leader of the Silver Lily Rebellion. He sees her as a prophesied saint, a symbol of hope for his cause against the soul-rotting plague known as the Gray Blight. Nusha sees him as a dangerously optimistic fool with a death wish. Dragged across the country with her foul-tempered, six-legged 'corpse cat' in tow, Nusha must dodge her family's assassins and Levan's earnest idealism. But as they uncover the truth behind the Gray Blight, they find it's intrinsically linked to the Zakarov family's source of power. Can Nusha embrace the destiny she never wanted to save the people from a plague her own family created?
