Alex Mercer, an ordinary man, is ripped from his mundane life and thrust into a dying world consumed by the 'Abyss Dungeons' – towering labyrinths teeming with monstrous entities. While others awaken standard combat classes, Alex gains a horrifyingly unique ability: 'Soul Theft,' allowing him to permanently steal one skill from any monster he defeats. Starting as a frightened nobody armed with barely more than a goblin's scuttle, he must navigate treacherous floors where every step could be his last. His driving force isn't glory or power, but the haunting memory of his family, trapped and vulnerable on a lower, doomed floor. He vows to butcher his way through gods and demons alike, turning their own power against them, to climb the Abyss, find his loved ones, and somehow, save them from the encroaching oblivion.
