The Butcher of Bitter Blooms

Farkas was once the celebrated chef of the Azure Court, until a royal banquet ended in poison and his exile. Now, he's a bitter, sharp-tongued cook at the Veiled Bastion, a brutal academy where only the strong survive. His sole companion is Cinder, a skittish ember-fox that eats his culinary failures. Farkas has a secret: he is a Fate-Eater, cursed to see the grim destinies of everyone he meets - and able to alter them through his cooking. He takes on a team of F-rank outcasts, not out of kindness, but because their intertwined fates offer him a sliver of a chance to defy his own. By feeding them dishes that rewrite their potential, he slowly forges them into something more than failures. But when a powerful inquisitor from the very court that exiled him arrives, she ignores the rising stars of his team and targets Farkas directly, calling him the true threat to the realm. Farkas must protect his found family and unravel the conspiracy that cost him everything, but can he trust the very people he's manipulating when they learn the truth of his power?
