The Lost Daughter of Five Gods

Eight-year-old Elara sleeps under the stairs of her uncle's house, eats what her cousin leaves behind, and owns exactly one thing in this world: her dead mother's necklace, with a pale gem sleeping inside it. She does not know that five kings are searching for her. She does not know that the Dragon Lord, the Demon Lord, the Lord of the Heavens, the Lord of Storms and the Keeper of Time each poured their divine power into her before she was born, and that every drop of it lies sealed in her blood. She only knows that when her uncle takes her into the forest to kill her, a man in a black coat finds her first, kneels down in the mud and asks who hurt her. He is her father. Neither of them knows it. And in eleven days, in a temple of white stone, another little girl will wear her mother's necklace, cut her finger, and be crowned the daughter of five gods while Elara watches from behind a door.
