His Crimson Winter

Zbyhneva was once the pride of the Horyan Royal Guard, a knight sworn to protect the realm. Now, framed for treason by her own commander, she's a fugitive with a price on her head. A relentless blizzard drives her to the only shelter on the frozen steppe: Voron's Perch, a grim citadel rumored to be haunted by a blood-drinking monster. She finds the rumors are true. The citadel's lord, Leslav, is a terrifying, horned creature who stalks the halls, tormented by a curse that demands he consume the life force of others to survive. Yet, in his fleeting moments of lucidity, Zbyhneva recognizes the last witness to her innocence. Leslav pushes her away, fearing the monster he's become, while Zbyhneva, bound by loyalty and a desperate hope for justice, refuses to leave. As the forces that condemned her close in, can Zbyhneva tame the beast within Leslav and prove her innocence, or will his curse consume them both before the truth is revealed?
