Crown of Shattered Glass

Lady Sofiya Dzhugashvili has spent her life as a perfect, polished ornament in the court of the Azhdari Emperor, hiding her ruthless intelligence behind a serene smile. Her engagement to a powerful duke is the final move in a long game to position herself for a prophesied rebellion. But on the night of her betrothal feast, the Emperor’s elite guard storms the celebration, slaughtering her family and revealing they know her secret: she is the Sakhli, the fated queen destined to shatter his reign. Rescued by Givi, a cynical guard captain acting on a sudden impulse of defiance, Sofiya is plunged into a life on the run. Together, they seek refuge in the hidden bastion of Qvabari, a community of rebels led by the enigmatic Elder Mamuka. There, Sofiya begins to hone her latent power - a volatile magic that turns organic matter to razor-sharp obsidian glass. As she trains, her bond with the stoic Givi deepens into a dangerous, forbidden love. But Qvabari is not the sanctuary it seems, and Elder Mamuka's guidance feels more like manipulation. The closer Sofiya gets to her revenge, the more she realizes the betrayal at her engagement was just the beginning. Can she trust the man who saved her when her own mentor might be the one orchestrating her downfall?
