The story opens mid-brawl as Tirnani throws fists in a dusty tavern to protect a starving chimera pup. She transmigrated into 'The Obsidian Dynasties' as the doomed royal tutor to the tyrannical ancient emperor, Khenzor. Knowing the plot dictates he must sacrifice her to achieve immortality, she faked her death, used a painful flesh-shifting elixir to drastically alter her face, and fled to the frontier. Now living as Senneh, she has completely rejected romance. Her sole, heartwarming mission is running a sanctuary for orphaned magical beasts. Told in close third person, we follow her cozy days bottle-feeding winged foxes alongside Roshari - a former rival court assassin turned fiercely loyal co-caretaker. But Khenzor’s terrifying, obsessive devotion to his 'lost' tutor is tearing the continent apart. The tension peaks when the System grants Senneh a 'Divine Healing Spring'. This grand reward is a trap: its magical signature alerts an imperial spy, who reports a plump, kind-hearted beast-keeper whose peculiar lullabies match the dead tutor perfectly. As Khenzor's royal carriage rolls into her sleepy town, can Senneh protect her found family without her monstrous former pupil recognizing the woman behind the new face?
