Too Proud to Panic

I was currently being choke-slammed into the mud by a third-year cadet, which still beat being sold to a lecherous warlord. When my uncle signed a magical concubine contract, I did the only logical thing: chopped off my hair, stole his heirloom sabers, and enrolled in the all-male Sun-Scarred Citadel as 'Xadir.' I'm proud, prickly, and determined to fight my way to the top. There is just two massive problems. First, nobody mentioned the contract has a sixty-day auto-summoning clause unless I reach the military rank of Vanguard. Second, my infuriatingly handsome rival, Tavros, is completely losing his mind. After we drunkenly leaned on each other celebrating a tournament victory, he has been treating me like an icy pariah while staring at my lips when he thinks I'm not looking. He is fighting his 'forbidden' attraction to me like his life depends on it, acting coldly furious at his own heart. But with my auto-summon timer ticking down and a sudden, highly suspicious cramp in my abdomen threatening to ruin everything, how long until my bloody secret is exposed?
