The Shelf Life of a Lazy Trophy Wife

In the grueling agricultural commune of Morndell Valley in 1979, everyone works from dawn to dusk - except Tamsya. After receiving a bizarre, misdelivered foreign catalogue showcasing "trophy wives," the hopelessly kind but unmotivated Tamsya completely misunderstands the concept. She believes her ultimate duty is to sit on a porch, look pretty, and avoid physical labor like a literal inanimate object. She happily marries the village's outcast tinkerer, Korsen, who loudly defends her right to be "beautiful furniture," treating their entirely platonic marriage as a highly successful roommate agreement to co-parent his giant, lethargic sheepdog. Meanwhile, Tamsya's reborn sister, Jolya, is furiously scheming. Armed with future knowledge, Jolya marries the commune's future richest man and claims the most fertile farmland, eagerly awaiting her lazy sister's downfall. But when Tamsya buys the cheapest, rockiest crag in the valley just to string up a hammock in peace, she accidentally uncovers a massive, highly lucrative vein of industrial quartz. As unimaginable wealth pours in and Jolya's flawless 4D chess moves crumble, will Tamsya ever realize she has accidentally become the valley’s most powerful tycoon without lifting a single finger?
