Jax Corso, once a top-ranked player in the brutal 'Null Sector Protocol' combat simulator, now finds himself living its reality. Not in his own skin, but shackled within the genetically engineered husk of a Null Unit – the lowest caste of disposable soldiers in the colossal, cyberpunk arcologies of Neo-Eridu. The familiar HUD elements and mission parameters are no longer virtual; they're engraved on his very perception as he navigates the irradiated Wastes, battling mutated behemoths and rival factions. To survive, Jax must become the mask: a relentless, emotionless cog in the war machine, a mindless drone dedicated to its grim programming. Every kill, every brutal execution, solidifies his cover, hiding the calculating mind of a human trapped beneath layers of bio-synthetic muscle and combat programming. But as whispers of other 'Anomalies' – like himself – surface, and the true, horrifying purpose of the Null Sector Protocol begins to unravel, Jax realizes surviving isn't enough.
