The Lazy Wolf and the Last Dragon

Fenna Vossen just wanted a peaceful life of napping in the sun and occasionally using her unparalleled runic genius to magically fetch pastries. Instead, her fated mate, Alpha Bramen, publicly rejects her. Citing a dire prophecy that her "dull" grey aura will bring the ruin of Zonnendal, he banishes her. Heartbroken, Fenna's tears are interrupted by an enchanted delivery owl carrying a brass puzzle-box. Inside is a letter in her own handwriting - her past self orchestrated this exact rejection so Fenna could find her true destiny with minimal effort. Following the letter's frustratingly vague instructions, Fenna and her pudgy cloud-badger, Snuf, trek to a forbidden peak. There, she clashes with Kasimir, a territorial recluse who is secretly the last surviving dragon shifter. Told through alternating third-person perspectives, their bitter rivalry over the mountain's best sunbathing spots slowly melts into a heartwarming, cozy romance. But when the peak's magic awakens Fenna's legendary White Wolf spirit, her dazzling glow-up catches the eye of her now-obsessed, groveling ex. As Bramen resorts to despicable measures to reclaim her, will Kasimir's protective fire be enough to expose the false prophecy and watch the Lycan Council strip the Alpha of everything?
