Elias Thorne, an archeologist obsessed with forgotten civilizations, awakens not in a dusty ruin, but in a world violently unlike his own. He is trapped in the hulking, fur-covered body of Torvin Grimbear, a pariah of the Bear-Clan Feralkin – a savage existence where every day is a struggle against monstrous beasts and warring clans. To survive, Elias must mimic the brute strength and ferocity expected of his new form, hiding his intellect and modern sensibilities behind a facade of primal rage.
