The Glass Hummingbird

In her first life, Anja Mirecka was a ghost, watching helplessly as her brilliant younger brother, Teofil, withered away from a disease the world's best doctors couldn't cure. His death shattered her family, leaving Anja to drift through the years until her own lonely end. When she inexplicably wakes up ten years in the past, a week before Teofil’s diagnosis, she is no longer a ghost but a hunter. Armed with the knowledge of a future medical breakthrough, Anja quietly liquidates her assets and invests everything into a fledgling bio-tech firm, 'Aevum Dynamics', the one that will eventually create the cure. Her single-minded focus is to secure Teofil’s treatment. But changing the past creates ripples. Her uncanny foresight catches the eye of Kazimir Volkov, a ruthless corporate magnate who was her family’s staunchest rival. He becomes obsessed with her prescience, his cold scrutiny a constant threat. As Anja navigates his dangerous interest and alters the timeline, she notices chilling inconsistencies - small, misplaced details that suggest Teofil’s illness wasn’t a tragedy of fate, but a carefully orchestrated murder. If the cure was her only goal, what happens when she discovers the poison came from inside her own house?
