The Billionaire's Poverty Cosplay

Romy Kastell's ordinary Tuesday starts with her bedroom ceiling collapsing onto her only clean clothes and a smug engagement text from her ex. Fueled by exhaustion and spite, she attends a blind date - set up to prove to her ex she has moved on - wearing stained gray sweatpants and a scowl, fully expecting the guy to run. Instead, she meets Max, who introduces himself as a humble chauffeur for a tyrannical CEO. Exhausted by gold diggers, Max is instantly charmed by Romy's world-weary sarcasm and soon proposes a marriage of convenience to secure a fake 'corporate housing bonus.' Thus begins a ridiculous charade. Max buys out Michelin-star restaurants, claiming the boss had a last-minute cancellation, and gifts her couture that supposedly 'fell off the company truck.' As a slow-burn romance brews beneath their paper marriage, Romy must navigate her snobby literary rival who unexpectedly becomes her fiercest ally. But with Romy's trusted agent secretly sabotaging her career and feeding lies to her ex, the illusion is cracking. What happens when Max's 'coworker' calls him on speakerphone to ask where the Boss wants his new fleet of private jets parked?
