Sword God's Second Spring

Rian Tahn was once the Unbroken Blade, a Sword God who reached the pinnacle of existence. His final act was one of ultimate kindness: sacrificing his own life and divine power to seal the Void Maw, a cosmic entity threatening to devour all reality. Millennia later, he awakens in the body of a boy with the same name, a gentle but simple-minded youth known as the village fool of a backwater province. Retaining his memories and unparalleled insight into the Way of the Sword, Rian begins to astound everyone. With a single, effortless stroke, he fells a haughty sect master, a feat that should be impossible for someone with his shattered spiritual meridians. As he effortlessly navigates mortal challenges, gathering a motley crew of followers drawn to his quiet strength and boundless compassion, he senses a familiar, corrupting influence spreading across the land. The world hails a new hero, the 'Sunstone Paladin' Sojin, for holding back the encroaching darkness. But Rian recognizes the Paladin's divine light as a mask for the Void Maw's insidious hunger. How can a kind-hearted fool convince the world its beloved savior is the very monster he died to imprison?
