Sunstone for a Shadowed Heart

All Zorya Petrova ever wanted was to win the Solstice Scramble, the prestigious combat tournament at the Vaeridian Spire, and secure a better life for her younger brother. But her dreams shatter when she's defeated by Stanimir Volkov, a terrifying prodigy whose shadow-based Affinity corrupts everything it touches. Stanimir is cursed, a living weapon scarred by a devastating betrayal, and he sees Zorya's unique Sunstone Affinity as the only thing that can soothe his inner torment. He gives her an ultimatum: become his personal 'anchor' and live under his roof, or he'll expose a secret that will ruin her family forever. Trapped in forced proximity, Zorya and Stanimir clash at every turn, rivals bound by a hateful pact. But as she sees the vulnerable man beneath the monster, a simple act of kindness changes everything. Can Zorya's light truly heal Stanimir's darkness, or will she be consumed by the very curse she's trying to break?
