Static on the A-List

I’m Ren Ishikawa, the guy they call ‘The Unbreakable Idol’ of Neo-Kyoto’s action scene. My fists are fast, my temper is faster, and my secret is bigger than any blockbuster: I’m gay. When a scandal threatens to expose me and ruin everything, my agency proposes a solution: a fake, two-year marriage to the industry’s rising star, the coolly ambitious Meiko Sato. It’s a simple business deal. We play the perfect couple for the cameras, and I get to keep my career and protect the man I actually love. But then we’re cast as star-crossed lovers in a new historical epic, and the lines between our performance and reality start to blur. Meiko is a brilliant actress, but the way she looks at me during our scenes feels dangerously real. I’m just trying to survive the contract, but as public pressure mounts and our agencies pull the strings, I find myself in the middle of a chase I never signed up for. What happens when the contract I thought was my shield turns out to be a cage, and the woman I’m supposed to be deceiving is the only one who sees the real me?
