Shadows of the Abyss

In a fractured world where shadow-wells consume entire cities, Lysander is the only survivor of the Great Eclipse - and the only one who can harvest the corrupted light within them. Armed with a forbidden soul-tethering relic, he drags dying souls back from the edge of oblivion, but every rescue exacts a toll of agonizing memory decay. Lysander doesn't care; he seeks to reconstruct his murdered family’s faces, which are fading from his mind. When the cult responsible for the Eclipse ascends to power, they target Lysander’s unique ability to fuel an eternal dark age. To stop them, he must plunge deeper into the wells, risking his last remaining memories. With every victory eroding his sense of self, Lysander faces a devastating ultimatum: save the realm from eternal night, or retain the last fading image of his daughter's smile.
