Derry, 1989. Richie Tozier, a quick-witted prankster with thick glasses and a heart full of unrequited love, has harbored a secret crush on his best friend, Eddie Kaspbrak, since they were six. Now thirteen, summer vacation unfolds with the Losers' Club, but their idyllic days are shattered by Pennywise, the dancing clown. As they confront the horrors lurking beneath their seemingly normal town, Richie grapples with a fear far more profound than any monster: the fear of losing Eddie, and the agonizing certainty that revealing his feelings could destroy their precious, fragile friendship. Every sardonic joke is a shield, every shared glance a silent plea, as he navigates the cosmic terror outside and the personal terror within, desperate to protect Eddie from both the monstrous clown and his own overwhelming affection.
