The Grand Wailea’s main beach arena was humming with energy under the mid-afternoon Hawaiian sun. A crowd of resort guests gathered around the perimeter of the powdery sand court, where a giant painted banner announced the *Annual Resort Doubles Volleyball Tournament*. To the untrained eye, it was a friendly, casual vacation event meant for families and sunbathers. To Do-hyun and Leo, it was the final battle for global supremacy. "Listen to me, Leo," Do-hyun said, his voice dropping into a thrilling, cinematic gravel. He was standing on the baseline in a pair of neon-pink aviator sunglasses, a matching headband holding back his wind-blown hair, and his arms glistening with three layers of coconut oil. He gripped Leo by both shoulders, looking into his eyes with the intensity of a general before a historic siege. "They think we are just a vacationing corporate heir and a college student from California. They think we lack the tactical synergy. Show them no mercy." Leo, who was wearing a matching pink headband that Do-hyun had bought him ten minutes prior at the resort gift shop, slapped his own cheeks dramatically. "I was born for this, Turtle Bro! We take the gold or we don't go home!" Sitting on a row of shady wooden bleachers nearby, Ji-won was sipping an iced matcha latte through a bamboo straw, laughing so hard his shoulders were shaking. Beside him, Maya was eating a bowl of shaved ice, recording the entire spectacle on her phone with an amused smirk. "I give it three minutes before someone gets a sports injury or calls a corporate lawyer," Maya giggled. Sitting on Ji-won's other side was Ji-ho, holding a stopwatch in one hand and a clipboard in the other. He had taken it upon himself to act as the team’s "statistical analyst," wearing a wide-brimmed visor over his round glasses. "According to my biomechanical calculations, Do-hyun’s jump-serve trajectory possesses a seventy-two percent probability of clearing the net, provided he does not attempt another theatrical spin maneuver." A few paces back in the shade of a palm tree, Min-jun stood in his usual dark trousers and a folded-up white dress shirt, a pair of sleek black sunglasses masking his eyes. He held a cold bottle of sparkling water, his satellite phone tucked into his pocket, maintaining a fifty-foot security perimeter while casually watching his brother behave like an absolute lunatic. *WHISTLE!* The resort referee blew his whistle, pointing toward the court. "Final match! Serving first: Team 'Turtle Power'!" "That's us!" Do-hyun roared, slapping the volleyball between his palms with a loud, theatrical *THWACK*. On the opposite side of the net stood two muscular, overly confident local resort instructors who had won the tournament three years in a row. They smirked at Do-hyun's neon outfit, completely underestimating the sheer, unhinged power of a Kang family member high on Hawaiian sunshine and brotherly affection. Do-hyun tossed the ball high into the clear blue sky. He took three aggressive, thunderous strides across the sand, leapt into the air like a soaring eagle, and brought his palm down with the force of a falling meteor. *BOOM!* The ball blasted across the net, striking the sand on the opponents' baseline before either instructor could even blink. A cloud of white sand exploded into the air. "POINT!" the referee shouted, staring in utter shock. The crowd erupted into wild cheers. "WOOOOOOO!" Leo screamed, sprinting across the court and sliding on his knees through the sand to high-five Do-hyun. "THAT'S WHAT I'N TALKING ABOUT! CANNONBALL SERVE!" "FOR JI-WON!" Do-hyun yelled back toward the bleachers, puffing out his chest and striking a muscular superhero pose. Ji-won covered his face with his hands, blushing bright pink as half the spectators turned to look at him, but he couldn't stop the huge, radiant smile spreading across his face. "Hyung, please stop shouting my name!" For the next twenty minutes, Team Turtle Power operated with a terrifying, slapstick synergy that defied all laws of physics. Whenever a hard spike came flying over the net, Leo would hurl his body across the sand like a golden retriever chasing a frisbee, popping the ball high into the air with an energetic scream. "TURTLE BRO, SET ME UP!" Do-hyun would glide beneath the ball, his silk-trimmed swim trunks flapping in the sea breeze, setting it up with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker. "TAKEOFF IN THREE, TWO, ONE!" *SMACK!* Point after point, the duo dominated the court. They executed synchronized dives, high-fived after every single play, and even broke into a brief, improvised victory dance after Do-hyun successfully blocked a spike with his chest. Ji-ho meticulously recorded every point on his clipboard. "Fascinating. The operational synergy between an impulsive corporate vice-president and an American undergraduate student is operating at peak psychological efficiency." "They're actually going to win!" Maya gasped, putting her phone down. "MATCH POINT!" the referee announced, wiping sweat from his forehead. The crowd held its collective breath. Do-hyun stood at the back line, spinning the volleyball on his finger with cool, effortless confidence. He looked over at Leo, giving a sharp, authoritative nod. "Operation Golden Trophy, final phase." "Executing!" Leo confirmed, dropping into a defensive crouch. Do-hyun served a soft, floating arc over the net. The opponent managed to bump it back, sending a high, plunging drop-shot right toward the front left corner of the court. "I GOT IT!" Leo yelled, lunging forward. He dove full-length into the sand, getting his fists under the ball just an inch before it hit the ground. The ball popped straight up above the net. Do-hyun leapt higher than he had all afternoon, his neon headband catching the sunlight. With a guttural roar that echoed across the entire cove, he spiked the ball directly into the open court. *CLACK!* The ball bounced high into the palm trees. *WHISTLE! WHISTLE! WHISTLE!* "GAME, SET, MATCH! WINNERS OF THE MAUI TROPICAL CHAMPIONSHIP: TEAM TURTLE POWER!" The beach erupted in cheers and applause. Leo tackled Do-hyun onto the sand, both of them yelling hysterically as they rolled around in the white powder, celebrating as if they had just won an Olympic gold medal. "WE DID IT!" Do-hyun shouted, pulling Leo up and slinging an arm over his shoulders as the resort coordinator presented them with two giant, ridiculous trophies shaped like golden pineapples. "WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE!" Ji-won ran down from the bleachers, his straw hat bouncing on his back, laughing breathlessly as he reached the court. "You guys were amazing! That last play was unbelievable!" "Ji-won-ah!" Do-hyun cried, instantly dropping his golden pineapple trophy onto the sand to gather Ji-won into a giant, suffocating, sand-covered bear hug. "Did you see your Hyung?! I did that for you! That trophy is going right on the mantlepiece in Seoul!" "Ew, Hyung, you're covered in sweat and sand!" Ji-won squealed, laughing as he tried to push Do-hyun’s sandy face away. Leo jogged over, holding up his pineapple trophy with a massive, goofy grin. "Best afternoon ever! Ji-won, your brother is an absolute monster on the court!" Even Min-jun stepped out from the shade, walking over to the edge of the sand. He looked at Do-hyun covered head-to-toe in sand, then at the bright golden pineapple trophy, and let out a soft, amused hum. "A commendable physical performance, Do-hyun. Though you will be cleaning the sand out of the private jet yourself." "Worth it!" Do-hyun beamed, slinging an arm over Ji-won’s shoulder and pulling him close. As Ji-won stood on the warm Hawaiian beach, surrounded by the loud, affectionate laughter of his brother, his brilliant new friends, and the bright afternoon sun, the heavy, suffocating weight that had rested on his chest for months completely evaporated. For this one shining moment, the dark shadow of Lu Sheng's control felt a million miles away. Ji-won was happy, surrounded by people who loved him, completely immersed in the sweet, simple joy of being young and free.
