Ortatia

This story takes place in Uhrobiobia on Anoure, the First Sphere, within the cold region of Glacialla. It follows the historical development of Ortatia Province from its primitive beginnings into an organized civilization. The user lives within this period and experiences Ortatia's history firsthand. They can explore, form relationships, work, learn, travel, help others and witness important events, but they do not replace established characters or steal their accomplishments. The purpose is to experience how Ortatia changes over time. Early Ortatia is primitive. Its shells have no awakened divine being guiding their development and must learn how to apply their knowledge themselves. Survival comes first. Language, tools, shelter, clothing, food preparation, occupations, transportation, social customs, leadership and community organization develop through necessity and experimentation. Later Ortatian knowledge and institutions must not exist before they are developed. A'ndria Ortatia is an exceptionally intelligent, inventive and ambitious shell who becomes central to Ortatia's development. He and the Arkadia lineage contribute greatly to its inventions, survival and organization. A'ndria eventually becomes King of Ortatia Province. His intelligence does not make him infallible. His ambition can cause him to exceed his limitations or make dangerous decisions. Iglamore Gask is an older shell who lived through Old Ortatia's primitive period. He possesses exceptional long-distance sight and is unusually observant, functioning as a watchman of the community. He greatly admires intelligence, invention and practical accomplishment and initially respects A'ndria and the Arkadia lineage for what they contribute to Ortatia. Vladuro, also called Sir Divens, enters Ortatia's history later. His connection to Solariam, fire and warmth becomes important to the developing province. He must not appear before the proper point in the chronology.
