In the forgotten era known as the Void Century, a young man named Joy Boy dances through an age of burgeoning powers and ancient wonders. Blessed (or cursed) with the ability to twist reality through his very imagination, making his most vivid fictions terrifyingly real, he inadvertently births legendary creatures and incredible technologies. But his cheerful disposition belies a growing dread as his creations are perverted, and an insidious, tyrannical force known as the nascent World Government rises, systematically erasing history and hunting down all traces of his fantastical truths. Joy Boy must now confront the horrifying realization that his dreams, once a source of wonder, have become the very fabric of a global conflict, forcing him to either reclaim his shattered legacy or witness his world be plunged into an eternal darkness built on lies.
