Of Frost and Freckles

Narineh, the ever-optimistic ‘Sunpetal’ of Arevik, has always found a reason to smile, even at her own father's funeral. But her cheer is put to the ultimate test when she's bartered in a marriage alliance to the notoriously cold Lord Vahagn of the Vorotan Peaks. His touch brings frost, his words are clipped shards of ice, and his heart is a fortress locked away since the day he witnessed his parents’ murder. To save her people from a creeping, unnatural winter, Narineh must live in his frozen citadel and endure his chilling presence. Undeterred, her shameless and cheeky warmth begins to chip away at his frosty exterior, revealing glimpses of a vulnerable man beneath the gloom. But as a bittersweet, unspoken affection thaws the air between them, Narineh realizes the creeping frost that plagues their lands isn't a natural phenomenon, and the architect of Vahagn's lifelong winter is far closer than either of them imagined. Can she bring the true spring to his heart before a trusted ally buries them both in an eternal frost?
