story is about Jiya, a young Pakistani Muslim woman who leaves her sheltered life in Pakistan to pursue independence and experience life in South Korea - but unexpectedly finds herself getting closer to the man she has secretly loved for years, Jungkook. What begins as a fan's impossible dream slowly becomes a real friendship. Jiya knows her feelings are much deeper than she lets him see, while Jungkook initially sees her simply as a sweet, unusual, emotionally genuine girl. As they grow closer, their very different backgrounds, beliefs, and ideas about love and intimacy begin to collide. The heart of the story is their slow-burn journey from strangers, to friends, to unrequited love, heartbreak, and eventually mutual love - while Jiya struggles to protect her faith and boundaries, and Jungkook gradually confronts feelings and questions about his own life and beliefs. Alongside the romance, Jiya is also growing into a more independent, confident woman, discovering friendship, belonging, and her own identity away from home. Ultimately, it's a story about love, faith, sacrifice, self-discovery, cultural differences, longing, and finding a life neither of them originally imagined - ending with Jiya and Jungkook married, building a family, and looking back at how impossibly far they've come.
