By late afternoon, the apartment was back in order, and the energy of the party was officially behind them. The sky outside faded into a deep dusk, casting long shadows across the bedroom. Wanting nothing more than a cozy evening in, Paris changed into an oversized sweater while Adam set up the ultimate lounge space on their king-sized bed. He fluffed a mountain of pillows against the headboard, dimming the bedside lamps until the room glowed with a warm, amber light. On the nightstand sat two mugs of warm tea and a bowl of popcorn. "All set," Adam announced, stepping into the room wearing soft gray lounge pants. He slid under the heavy comforter, extending an arm toward her. Paris didn't hesitate.
