Midnight Mistakes at the Sun-Forge

Trapped at her own suffocating engagement banquet, Jivya Darabi decides she needs one night of wild freedom before becoming a dutiful wife. Slipping away in a disguise, she ends up having a spectacular one-night stand with a breathtaking, intense stranger. Fleeing before dawn, she accidentally drops her highly confidential arranged marriage contract in his sheets. To escape her family's wrath, Jivya goes into hiding as a clumsy, relentlessly cheerful alchemical intern at the prestigious Sun-Forge. There's just one problem: her terrifying new boss is Zarren Omidvar, the man from that night. Zarren is aggressively turning the city upside down, convinced the woman who left the shady contract is a treasonous mastermind. Jivya spends her days spilling tea, tripping over her own feet, and acting like a total ditz to throw him off her scent. Unbeknownst to both, Zarren's hunt for a state traitor and Jivya's desperate quest to break her engagement are the exact same plot line - her fiancé is the traitor Zarren is looking for! But when a toxic alchemical spill locks down their laboratory, Jivya drops her ditzy act to save his life. Cornered in the quarantine ward, will Zarren finally recognize his elusive, brilliant runaway?
