**Summary of the story so far** In an ancient kingdom of gold and sand, Princess Zareen lives a gilded, restricted life. Restless and rebellious, she sneaks out of the palace at night through a hidden passage. In the city she meets a sharp-tongued, beautiful young man who calls himself Kael - a supposed thief who knows every alley and secret. They clash at first (enemies), then keep meeting, exploring forbidden places together: moonlit rooftops, underground gardens, forgotten ruins. They become friends, then fall deeply in love.
