Le Parfum de l'Absente

Marc, a brilliant neuro-scientist specializing in sensory manipulation, stands before a packed conference hall. He feels her presence. Elena, the woman who vanished into thin air five years ago, is here. Though invisible to the naked eye, her distinct, haunting lavender fragrance fills the room. Desperate, Marc stretches on his tiptoes, scanning the crowd. He discovers a terrifying truth: Elena has been trapped in a parallel, non-physical dimension overlapping our own. Armed with an experimental cognitive device that allows him to perceive and interact with this alternate world through olfactory triggers, Marc embarks on a dangerous obsession. To pull her back, he must navigate a shadowy, bureaucratic conspiracy that controls the thresholds between these worlds. As the boundary between reality and hallucination blurs, Marc realizes that his own sanity is the price of her rescue. Will he drag her back to the light, or be swallowed by the scent of the void?
