During a mission in Paris, Bruce Wayne encounters the Dupain-Cheng family. As himself, he saves Sabine from a tragic accident, rushing her to the hospital where she gives birth to Marinette. Deeply moved, Bruce becomes Marinette's godfather. Years later, tragedy strikes, leaving Marinette an orphan. She moves to Gotham, into the care of her godfather, a man burdened by his own hidden life as Batman. Marinette, secretly the city's miraculous hero, Ladybug, struggles to conceal her nightly patrols from her new family, especially her watchful godfather and his adopted sons, the Robins. Bruce, equally secretive as the Caped Crusader, attempts to shield his wards from his dangerous alter-ego. The tension mounts as both Bruce and Marinette navigate their dual lives, trying to protect each other while keeping their greatest secrets hidden. When their worlds inevitably collide, Gotham and Paris hang in the balance.
