I Vowed To Be Lazy, But The Villainess Keeps Dying On Me

Inspector Marek Hasek, a man whose genius is matched only by his profound laziness, is finally on his deathbed, ready for the eternal nap he's craved his entire life. But his final rest is interrupted by a vision: he’s back at the start of his most infamous case, investigating Zofia 'The Iron Widow' Niemczyk, the woman accused of orchestrating the Great Lumoss Heist that plunged the city of Praskov into darkness. Everyone knows Zofia is a monster, living lavishly off her crimes. But as Marek reluctantly relives his investigation, he uncovers the truth: Zofia is secretly funding an orphanage with her 'stolen' fortune. He finds himself falling for the woman he's meant to condemn, becoming her sole defender in a world that hates her. Just as he clears her name, she sacrifices herself to stop a city-wide catastrophe. Then he wakes up, on his deathbed, again. Forced into a time loop by a cryptic elder, Marek must repeatedly save the tragically self-sacrificing villainess he's come to love. Can a man who just wants to sleep finally break the cycle and give the city's secret saint the peaceful life she deserves, or is he doomed to watch her die forever?
