In a world that has grown teeth, everything is hungry. The cobblestones beneath your feet pulse with digestive juices, and the very shadows wait for you to blink so they can swallow you whole. Ash, a cynical lockpicker, survives by a simple rule: never touch anything that breathes. But when his sister is devoured by an aristocratic Living Mansion, Ash is forced to break his own rule. He binds his soul to a parasitic, sentient shadow-key that grants him the ability to unlock and command the 'hunger' of inanimate objects. To rescue what remains of his sister, Ash must ascend the tiers of the predatory city, feeding his parasitic key with the flesh of monsters and men alike. But his cheat is a ticking clock; the key is slowly unlocking the doors of his own mind, inviting the insatiable consciousness of the world itself to crawl inside.
