Chronicles of the Shadow Ascendant

Kael, a young man haunted by the loss of his family to a rampaging beast, lives in the desolate Cinderlands. He possesses the unique 'Shadow Stitch' ability, allowing him to absorb the 'echoes' of fallen foes, not just gaining their strength but their dying moments and lingering despair. This power, a double-edged sword, fuels his quest for vengeance while slowly eroding his own identity. The world trembles under the encroaching 'Abyssal Blight,' a corrupting force that turns creatures into monstrous husks. Kael believes eliminating the source of the Blight will bring peace, but every echo he consumes whispers of a deeper, more insidious truth. He must confront not only the escalating threats but the darkness growing within himself before he becomes just another echo in the void.
