Born from the heart

Elara, born with a heart literally carved from pure Aether, lives in a kingdom where magic is a forbidden myth. Orphaned and ostracized for her unnaturally vibrant health and strange glow, she scavenges the shadowed alleys of Veridian, haunted by the echoing absence of her unknown lineage. Her unique heart isn't just a metaphor; it's a volatile power source, slowly destabilizing, threatening to unravel reality itself if uncontrolled. When a mysterious plague begins to drain life from the city's children, its symptoms eerily mirroring the slow decay of her own unregulated power, Elara discovers her heart is intrinsically linked to the city's fate. She must now embrace the very magic she fears and uncover the truth of her impossible birth, or watch Veridian, and herself, be consumed by the encroaching void. Can she control the Aether within before it shatters everything she holds dear?
