Ausflug zur schönburg

After sixteen years of marriage, Sven and Birgit’s relationship has cooled to a polite, predictable routine. Desperate to rekindle their faded spark, gentle-natured Sven books Room 23 - the absolute highest chamber in the tower of the romantic Burghotel Schönburg overlooking the misty Rhine. He hopes this lavish, erotic getaway will heal the silent divide between them. However, as the heavy castle doors close behind them, Sven realizes Birgit is harboring a cold, distant secret that no amount of atmosphere can easily mask. Caught between his profound fear of confrontation and a growing suspicion that his wife is already mentally gone, Sven must navigate a weekend of raw, vulnerability-stripped intimacy. Up in the isolated tower, surrounded by medieval stone and centuries of secrets, every touch becomes a battlefield. To save his marriage, Sven must finally abandon his passive nature and confront the painful truths they have both spent nearly two decades desperately trying to ignore.
