The story opens with Olenka Varga quietly and methodically snapping a corporate assassin's neck in a rain-slicked alley, wiping the blood from her tailored suit, and returning home to kiss her five-year-old son goodnight. Six years ago, a massive grid blackout and a mistaken hotel room number led Olenka into the bed of Henrik Kordas - the ruthless magnate she blames for her family's destruction. Now, Olenka has maneuvered herself into becoming the lead structural designer for Henrik's new impenetrable smart-mansion, the Kordas Bastion. Her goal is cold, calculated revenge: build his fortress with a fatal flaw and bury him inside it. However, a parallel crisis is unfolding. Henrik is desperately hunting an anonymous cyber-terrorist dismantling his corporate subsidiaries. The terrifying twist?
