Raised in a brutal draconnic farm, Amarok knows only the pain of monthly harvesting and forced couplings, her scales ripped for illicit drugs. Marked only by a barcode, she dreams of a world beyond her cage on the 'Isle of Hell,' a floating prison where dark nations and outcasts dwell. When a surprisingly gentle male draconnic becomes her partner, a flicker of hope ignites. Together, they seize a desperate chance for freedom, stowing away on a zeppelin, soaring towards an unknown continent below. But the world outside is as cruel as the one they left, and Amarok's nascent power of affliction, the very source of her torment, may be her only salvation against the shadowy forces hunting them.
