A Twig to the Face

Tu Mingyu is currently getting punched in the face. This is standard for the hot-tempered youth, who was cursed by a demonic cultivator before birth to have completely sealed meridians. But when his blood soaks into a mysterious black bead during a street brawl to protect a friend, he is violently pulled into a time-accelerating realm. There, he meets the tragic, excessively dramatic soul of Lord Cangyan, an ancient hero seeking vengeance. After spending what feels like years inside the bead perfecting a single, rudimentary strike, Mingyu emerges into the real world just in time for the Gilded Crane Sect's grand tournament. Much to the horror of the arrogant young masters who have mocked him for years, Mingyu proceeds to brutally - and hilariously - slap their faces using only a snapped tree branch. But as Mingyu climbs the ranks, drawing the attention of a manipulative sect elder and the bittersweet gaze of his childhood love, Lian Xinyue, a shocking truth looms. The demonic cultivator who cursed him wasn't trying to destroy his life - he was desperately trying to save the world. Can Mingyu slap his way to the top before the real threat arrives?
