A Shattered Blade's Requiem

Running for my life through the rain-slicked Umbral Woods, my cultivation destroyed to save Song Jiao, I expected to die when she kicked me into the gorge to cover her escape. Instead, I landed beside the corpse of the Obsidian Sparrow Institute's missing heir, Gongsun Yang. More importantly, I found the Iron Husk - a broken, rusted sword housing Yaoluo, a seductive demonic enchantress who offered me a devil's bargain. She used her dark arts to swap my face with the dead heir's, granting me a new identity and a forbidden cultivation technique that literally feasts on the spiritual weapons of my enemies. Now, I walk the halls of the most prestigious academy under a stolen name. My arrogant cousin, Baili Ming, doesn't recognize the VIP he bows to. My treacherous ex-fiancée tries to court the powerful noble I pretend to be. I will let them climb to the very peak of the upcoming grand martial tournament, just so I can crush them with a single finger. But how long can a dead man's face hide my shattered, vengeful soul before the heavens demand their due?
