A Gentle Hand to Catch the Stars

I don't remember being a monster. I only know that I woke up mid-punch in the roaring holographic arenas of the Cakra-Grid, staring down the glowing barrel of a plasma cannon wielded by a towering Titan-Shell mecha. My body moved before my mind could panic, catching and redirecting the scorching energy blast with a fluid motion of 'Yielding Water' - an ancient, obsolete martial art supposedly reserved for pathetic Nulls without psychic powers. The entire galaxy went silent. Now, I’m the most hunted man in the Mandala Reach. Despite my desperate desire to live peacefully and show kindness to everyone I meet, I am repeatedly forced into brutal star-network deathmatches against the galaxy's elite. My fiercest rival, the ruthless pilot Laksmi, is slowly becoming my only ally, helping me uncover terrifying truths about my past. I wasn't just some ancient martial artist. I was a ruthless demonic cult leader who ravaged my era. And the worst part? A hidden holographic message reveals that my tyrannical past self engineered this very awakening, wiping his own cruelty to forge my gentle soul. Why would a monster set himself up to be a savior, and can I save this metal-ruled universe before my past sins catch up to me?
