In the neon-drenched coastal metropolis of Kasai City, disgraced former Herald Kenzo Kizuki lives as a half-Oni pariah. Two years ago, a mission ended in blood when Kenzo's feral rage drove him to beat a child-experimenting researcher to death, resulting in his immediate expulsion from the corrupt hero system. Now patrolling the rain-slicked streets as the illegal vigilante 'Raifu', he channels crimson lightning and wind to protect the forgotten. But his precarious survival is shattered when Rina Valven, his estranged childhood friend and a rising half-demon Herald, is deployed to hunt him down. To make matters worse, Kenzo's Oni Leak state constantly threatens to consume his sanity in exchange for raw power. As a sinister conspiracy involving the city's Aether supply begins to unfold, Kenzo must navigate a web of betrayal, choose between his thirst for vengeance and the people who need him, and survive the very system that created him before his own inner demon tears him apart.
