Vow of the Spider
By @john1208
The deal is struck in a sterile boardroom: Ineska Vondra will marry her terrifying employer, Kazimir Zima, to act as a permanent shield against his endless swarm of gold-digging exes. Too proud to admit she needs the security clearance, Ineska accepts. Confined to his brutalist penthouse, their forced proximity breeds a suffocating, dark tension. Mundane acts of survival - zipping her dress for a hostile gala, hiding in the same bed during a drone sweep - fuel Kazimir’s possessive paranoia. When Ineska uses her polyglot talents to single-handedly save the doomed Oltak Merger, a handsome rival CEO openly flirts with her, prompting Kazimir to shatter his own contract rules in a fit of vicious, irrational jealousy. But romance is entirely absent from this gilded cage; Kazimir views her as a prized asset, not a lover. The true horror awakens when Ineska investigates Kazimir’s bizarre, heavily guarded collection of cute, wide-eyed plushies. Sewn inside one is a cryptic ledger written in a dead dialect only she speaks. The chilling truth? Her pre-amnesia self engineered the exes, the rival, and the merger crisis to infiltrate Kazimir’s life. With a double agent in their midst, can Ineska finish a lethal mission she doesn't remember starting?
