The opening scene sets the tone: Tamar strikes a tense deal with a blood-drenched, seven-foot werewolf - he gets a daily flat white on the house, and in exchange, he promises not to slaughter her regulars. Revaz, the feral Alpha of the infamous Blood Moon pack, is terrifying, unhinged, and utterly convinced Tamar is his fated mate. Tamar, a world-weary barista, has zero interest in romance, treating his obsessive nesting and overprotective stalking as extreme workplace hazards. While Revaz aggressively buys out the entire block to keep her safe, his cruel father, Malkhaz, demands a pureblood heir and dispatches assassins to eliminate the human nuisance. Tamar keeps accidentally wandering into lethal ambushes on her smoke breaks, forcing Revaz into berserk, limb-tearing rampages while she complains about the mess on her linoleum.
