Eclipse of the Iron Colossus
By @john1208
The Kozlov-Tarn Academy orbits a dying black-dwarf star, its fog-choked corridors hiding terrifying secrets. Jargal, once a lethal shadow-assassin, awakens in this eerie facility in the body of a 'Dead-Mind' - a cadet lacking the psychic resonance to pilot colossal Dread-Mechas. His only welcome is a mysterious courier pod containing a rusted letter and a severed cybernetic finger. In this grim society, martial arts is mocked as a pathetic dance for the psychically blind. But when an abyssal Nethervari beast breaches the hull and slaughters the elite psychic cadets, Jargal's explosive temper erupts. Armed only with steel sewing needles infused with his ancient Night-Viper Qi, he paralyzes the alien monster's nerve clusters in a shocking display that shatters the galaxy's understanding of power. This impossible feat draws the bitter rivalry of Valkha Tyrenni, the academy's ice-cold top mecha pilot, sparking a fierce clash that slowly ignites into romance. As they dive into the Star Network's VR death-matches to uncover the conspiracy behind his predecessor's murder, Jargal leans on his warmly supportive roommate, Tarkhan. But in a station consumed by shadows, what happens when your only trusted friend is the architect of your doom?
