The Tycoon's Runaway Masterpiece
By @john1208
Priyala is sprinting for her life through the monsoon-slicked alleys of the spice market. Framed for shattering the magical core of the Vanjari Syndicate’s ruthless magnate, Dhruvan, she flees the terrifyingly devoted tycoon who views her as his most precious, irreplaceable little sister. Seeking refuge in the destitute stepwell village of Jhalara, Priyala plays the role of a cheerful, clumsy farmhand, bringing laughter and warmth to the desperate locals. But Jhalara is dying, its ancient aqueducts crumbling to dust. When a sudden storm threatens to wash a local child away, Priyala accidentally uses her signature Resin-Singing to freeze the floodwaters in amber - instantly alerting Dhruvan to her location. As his massive armada of air-skiffs darkens the horizon, the cat-and-mouse game reaches a fever pitch. Yet, what the obsessively protective Dhruvan doesn't know is that Priyala's past self orchestrated this entire chase, knowing his vast engineering fleet was the only thing capable of stopping Jhalara's prophesied destruction. Can this secretly sharp airhead keep dodging his suffocating grasp long enough for him to accidentally save the village, or will he lock her away in his gilded vault before her master plan is complete?
