The Geometry of a Perfect Getaway
By @john1208
When her high-profile engagement implodes on live television, ice-cold fashion mogul Vendra Challis refuses to let heartbreak ruin her quarterly projections. The novel opens with Vendra striking a ruthless deal with her trusted PR manager, Lisse: Vendra will vanish off the grid for exactly thirty days, and in exchange, Lisse will prep a flawless revenge campaign for her return. Vendra escapes to the slow-paced, ancient water town of Yulari with a simple itinerary: optimize her healing process and schedule her weeping sessions for maximum efficiency. But Yulari’s sluggish canals don't respect itineraries, and neither does Jorik, a perpetually grinning wanderer with a camera who seems determined to photograph Vendra at her most unhinged. As Jorik’s chaotic spontaneity thaws Vendra's calculating exterior, the two share a fleeting, hilarious summer romance. She expects the vacation to end quietly, but Jorik abruptly drops his entire nomadic lifestyle to buy the apartment across from her penthouse in Nova Kyris. Now, Vendra must juggle a new neighbor who refuses to leave, her own softening heart, and a terrifying revelation: what if the trusted ally who packed her bags is the same person who engineered her viral humiliation?
