The Unseen Guest

By @Melis Akh

Kael, haunted by a past he desperately tries to outrun, seeks refuge in The Whispering Manor, a remote cabin shrouded in an ancient forest. He believes he's found solace in isolation, but true terror lurks within. Each midnight, his phone buzzes with chilling photos: candid shots of him sleeping, taken from impossible angles inside the house. Trapped by unyielding locks and an unseen presence, Kael's only link to sanity is a cryptic voice crackling through a dusty radio. His unique curse - the ability to glimpse fragmented reflections of the past in any mirrored surface - becomes his desperate weapon. But is he fighting a ghost, or a meticulously crafted trap designed to exploit his deepest fears? The manor itself seems alive, its whispers growing louder as the line between reality and hallucination blurs, threatening to consume Kael before dawn.
