In the embattled Meltrandi System, the all-female society faces extinction. Their matriarchal civilization is under siege by the expansionist Masadan fleet and the relentless state security forces of the Peoples Republic. Yet, hope flickers aboard the heavy cruiser *Amazon*, a Saganami-class warship reverse-engineered with critical tech transfers from the Star Kingdom of Manticore. Igarashi, the *Amazon*'s hot-headed but brilliant tactical officer, possesses an uncanny ability to pinpoint the fatal flaws in any enemy formation or ship design. With their way of life on the brink, Igarashi must harness her gift to outmaneuver technologically superior adversaries, protect her sisters, and prevent the annihilation of the Meltrandi. The fate of their unique society rests on her shoulders, but her impulsiveness constantly threatens to undermine her genius.
